Every week, the Chicago Architecture Foundation and Chicago Green Technology Center graciously host "lunch time seminars", inviting some of the leading industry professionals to discuss building issues they are involved with. Last week, they hosted Dave Hampton's "High-Performance Residential Rehab: Challenging Assumptions of Sustainability on Two Recent Chicago Homes". The seminar took a look at two very different clients - a family and a speculative residential developer. Through a collaborative design and construction administration process, cost-effective choices brought energy high-performance into the realm of possibility for the average homeowner and developer.
