I'm about to start construction of a new house, 2-storey, slab on grade.
Hydronic heat is very desirable, so whether it will happen immediately or will be roughed-in for later use, we are planning to have in-floor radiant in the slab on the main level (888 sqft) and were planning low-temperature radiator panels in each room on the upper level (768 sqft). There are 4 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs.

I have already calculated heat losses at design temps for each upstairs room (BTU/hour):
Bedroom 1 - 1383
Bedroom 2 - 1010
Master bedroom - 2686
Storage/Office - 878
Bathroom - 839

I didn't include hallway/stairwell as I assume that this space will be heated from the main floor heat rising (I have included this space in the main level heat loss calculation).

I recently started reading more about radiant ceilings. The ceiling will have R50 blown cellulose insulation and very good air sealing.

Are radiant hydronic ceiling panels running at low water temperatures (max 110F) with room-by-room thermostats a better and more economical choice than low-temperature panel radiators like the Stelrad compact line with TRVs or even low-temp baseboard?

Unlike radiators/baseboards, I couldn't find much pricing info for radiant ceiling since it's similar to in-floor heat where it varies by application and length of runs.

Thank you.
