my installer is very slow, i am still waiting for him to install the second half of my system, in the mean time i am getting some of the prep work done. i am running the lines to the 3 zones for my radiant system, what i have so far is, 2 zones that are garage floor, basement floor, 1/2 pipe in the slabs, manifolds, 3/4" pipe comin from the manifold, the third zone is a heat exchanger with 1" npt that i am necking down to 3/4 propex. these 3 zones are going to a manifold of my own design, however i need to know what size of fittings are generaly on 2-ton water to water heat pump, not the field loop fittings but the heat loop fittings. i am guessing 1" but need to know for sure, the obvious answer would be to phone my installer and ask him, but he is unavailable for a little while and by the time he gets back i will be gone. i kinda want to get some parts ordered and some work done so any help would be appreciated. thanks

What brand heat pump do you have?
Climate Master has 1" connections, Hydron 3/4", WaterFurnace 3/4"

i think its a mammoth, or MCI or something like that. they are manufactured about an hours drive from here, think they are somewhat designed and built right there. these guys have been at it for a long time, 30 years plus. |
