I haven't had to use backup heat yet but I have determined I have 2  20kw backup heat strips with a 5 ton
geothermal heat pump, seems to be a overkill, just how much backup is needed to support a 1500 sq ft home ?
the house is located in west Michigan and temps can get down to -16 degrees F in winter....
1500 sq ft home with 5 ton Geocomfort heat pump
desuperheater,3200ft of horz loop. Howard city,MI.
