A while back some posted a link on here about the thermal transfer ability of ice.

I can't seem to find the post.  Any help would be appreciated.

A more common characteristic is "thermal conductivity of..."

I googled "thermal conductivity of ice" and "thermal conductivity of solids" and came up with mostly metric results. A chart in Wiki shows ice thermal conductivity greater than soil (which varies widely), limestone, glass, and concrete but lower than granite

I think this might be that one I remember...

The chart shows ice, of course, at 0ºC...but the heading for the rest of the charts Material at 25ºC

For a fair comparison shouldn't we use the value for ice at 25 C?

I think you'd have a hard time finding ice at 25C?

Actually, ice is a reasonably good insulator (think of igloos).

Wonder if I could build an igloo here in Florida with some of that 25C ice engineer mentions....... Now that would be a real challenge.
