Planning on building on a lakefront lot on Lake Travis neer Austin, TX.  Thinking of using geothermal hopefully with a loop into the lake.  Interested in any recommendation on who to work with.
Thanks Jeff

Don't know anyone in your area, but you could try the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association website (igshpa) and manufacturer websites for area dealers.
Regarding pond (lake) loops, in my area it would have to be a private lake or pond (....public property not for private use....).
Good Luck,
Joe

Jeff, I recommend you call Eldon Hampton, owner, Geothermal Distribution, Rockwall (near Dallas), TX, at 972-679-1438.  While Austin is about 5 hours away from Dallas, still, I know Eldon is familiar with many good geo installers in the state, having been in business for over 20 years.  Eldon may be in a good position to recommend someone to you in the Austin area.  I'm also aware that Eldon does travel occasionally to manage larger projects.

Geothermal Distribution is a WaterFurnace GeoPro Master Dealer, and has been very successful installing GSHPs in our Texas clay soils for over 10 years.  In addition to regular size residential settings, a good portion of Geothermal Distribution's business is very large residential and commercial installations (particularly large school complexes).

Feel free to state that the recommendation to call came from me if you wish.

Good luck!

Best regards,

Bill

AIM Austin Independant Mechanical - Derek Herring (512) 312-9080 would be able to get you taken care of.
AET Air & Geothermal - Jack Johnson (512) 288-7523 would also be an excellent choice.
Both contractors are here in Austin, Texas.
I sale ClimateMaster Geothermal Equipment to them - [email protected]
