Ok, slow down Bill. In trouble shooting you don't look for multiple problems at once. Something caused relays to fail and it may be as inocuous as cheap relays. New company used isolation valves to throttle pumps suggestiong (IMHO) ineptitude, then pump trouble started (where before only relays were failing). Then OP insisted on pump change whether we needed it or not....what a mess. What you need to do is find out if you get enough GPM with one motor (simply disconnect power to one and watch temps). If you do great, if not then ask for correct pumps. Then find out why relays fail or do like half the free world and slave 1 pump to each compressor contactor. High loop temp didn't show up until some bozo throttled the loop pumps. Don't assume trouble with ground loops until we get a handle on flow.... and don't believe temps from an infrared source. |

Additional update I disconnected the bottom pump Everything still working Top pump varies from 129 to 134 Room with A/C Units 92 Summary disconnecting the bottom pump has caused a reduction of approximately 10 degrees in the top pump I am measuring with a Brand new and calibrated Flir E5. the motor temperatures are accurate. Measuring the water temperature inside a pipe is not. I am measuring the brass fittings on the ground loop that are affected by the ambient temperature also the A/C units are cycling on / off that affects the water temperature Can someone explain how turning off one pump reduces the motor temperature? |

Hot pumps are contributing to the water temp. Was my last suggestion so disinteresting as to be completely ignored? |

......I mean we get that loop temps and pumps are hot, but you are directing the focus just as you directed replacement of pumps whether they needed it or not. Good Luck. |
