Jonr,

We are fighting the same battle here. The point I am making is that all things in the software and reality are not equal. I am not a straw man, and you are not a looper. We are two people in this disscussion wit no skin in the game. Nothing replaces boots on the ground in a given area of operation. Nothing. If the added costs of TC grout make sense to this guy, then good on him.

"And your existing boreholes are 160ft/ton. So pretty much perfect (as far as these guesstimates go)."

There it is. Answer to the original concern.

The original question was about grout, but the concern was to make sure the installer did his job and whether or not to recommend them.

As I mentioned early on, it doesn't matter what you use, it simply matters that it is sized correctly. Fancy (expensive) grouts or loops may have applications, but in the context of residential geo, most times they will simply cost more with no return on your additional investment.

Where is a " like " button when you really need it?

Again, it depends.
If you are having a low conductivity formation, such as dry sand, the grouting material is not the limiting factor. If you are using 20' rods, and you are drilling through sandstone, this can go very easy and quick.
