From Troubleshooting guide in order of likelihood in Heating- 1. Inoperative blower 2. Dirty filters 3. Dirty air coil 4. Restricted supply or return duct 5. Unit may be overcharged 6. Blocked or seized TXV Also could be faulty HP Switch

"The coils needed cleaning bad."

Why? Are you sure you cleaned them thoroughly?

I know I cleaned them thoroughly by taking a good bright light and looking at the coils with the light on one side and me on the other.Any way after turning the unit off and letting it set for a few hours yesterday the light went out and has not come back on as of yet. I have learned over the years to do most of the maintenance on it myself as there is no one in this area that works on them. I use the pink acid on it Kleen Right I think that's the name. Anyway not my first time doing it. The unit has been in the house since 98. Thanks anyway for the help. Still not sure what tripped it. If it comes back on will have to look into it deeper.

It's much easier, and less harmful to the coil, to keep a clean filter in the unit...

This is just a shot in the dark. Any chance the unit came on while you had the blower door off to clean coil? If so, it would have locked out on HiPressure with no airflow across the aircoil.
