I have a CM TEV30, 3 ton Geothermal system and an iGate communicating thermostat. I know that it's possible to diagnose the HP and modify EWT, LWT, etc. but don't know how it's done. Where do I find instructions on doing this; not that I will do it. With this in mind, are there modifications that the owner can make to run the system more efficiently w/o getting a tech to do it? What parameters are best for efficiency?

Here is the Climatemaster communicating thermostat installation manual:  http://www.climatemaster.com/geothe...ystems.pdf

I don't see how you can modify EWT or LWT with the thermostat, other than possibly set limits.  These parameters will be dictated primarily by your loop field geology, loop field design, heat exchange fluid, and BTU extracted or rejected.  But you can adjust the delta T across the heat exchanger via the variable speed flow pump.  This is discussed in the installation manual.
