When you say no heat out, is it blowing air, but the air is uheated? Or is there no airflow? If it was a refrigerant leak, it should trip out on low pressure. Maybe it's a problem with the reversing valve, which could be stuck in a way that it's not effectively heating or cooling? A couple of things you could try would be running in cooling mode again to see if that works, and switching modes back and forth a few times to hope to get it unstuck if it's stuck. If it works in cooling that's a pretty big clue that it's the reversing valve. You can also feel the tubing at various places inside and if you know what's what, learn something from what is getting hot or cold (or not) being careful to avoid anything electrical. Do you have a desuperheater, and is that doing anything? And do you have backup heat? |
