Paslodes are great framing guns as long as you aren't handing them off to $20/hr framers - they'll either drop 'em and break the plastic frame or won't take 5 minutes to clean them so they'll jam. For a guy building his own place, they can get you happily cordless for not much more than the price of a good air framing gun... The last time I checked, tripping/falling on your own air hose was one of the top 5 causes of death for framers - how stupid but how easy to do. Building in Illinois you won't have to worry much about the cold weather problems - walltech is right on there.
