I planning to build a house that is solar tempered (no thermal mass) as opposed to passive solar,
All the readings have said not to go over 7.5 % windows/floor space on the south facing wall without thermal mass. The question is does this apply to the whole house or is per room ?
I have more than 7.5 in the greatt room but less for the whole house should I make changes?
Thanks

By having less than 7.5% you will not get as much solar gain in those rooms. Only change if don't like the design.
