Not the best subject title.

In my new house I have a cold section and was up in the uninsulated Attic and notice that the insulation in the floor joists is thick and and is moving up from the joists. My question is the best way to finish the floor and maybe add some additional insulation to the floor?

I already purchased the 2'x4' T&G floor panels that I plan on using for flooring for storage space. I then thought that maybe I'd add some insulating panels under that flooring? Good idea or bad idea?

Any better ideas?

The house I believe is well insulated but maybe I can do a little bit more to make that side of the house a bit warmer.

The first and second picture is the area of the house that's a bit colder, 3820 & 3821.
The third picture is of a room with a tray ceiling that shares a wall in the colder area, 3822.

Thanks,

John

John,
That's a very poor fiberglass install.
Sorry to be the one to tell you that.
Hope you're not in a cold climate either.

most additional insulation using fiberglass bats is done by going 90 degrees to the first layer. adding a floor would not allow you to do that... the plywood and storage items might overload your joists. YOu need to check size and span to see if by code you can add additional weight. If you have soffit ventilation you can buy or make deflectors so the air can still circulate. not be covered up by the insulation.
