does anyone have any good information on pcm's in construction materials?  are they available?  are they being used?  i see them mentioned every now and then when i'm researching green building, efficiency, etc., but i get the impression that these materials are not commonly used. what's the story?? any leads or info is appreciated.

We utilize Styropor and Neopor from BASF for our radiant installation floor panels. BASF has a phase change material called Micronal. To my knowledge Micronal is currently offered in Europe and utilized in products like drywall. Might be able to search the brand name and find out what products it is currently used in.

Hope this helps.

Someone posted some info on another forum and I recently posted one somewhere around here on PCM. Seems that some recipe of Glauber Salt has several times the heat storage capacity of water if I read right relying on the solid/liquid change somewhere in temps in the 70s-90s. I couldn't find much info on it at all especially anything near recent.

A fascinating subject with promise for sure.
