We have a twenty year old R2000 house with an air exchanger. Is it possible to use this ducting to either add a heat pump or air conditioner to our existing system. Thanks

Normally an air exhanger is 100-200cfm, and for that same house, the HVAC system is 800-2000cfm.  The exchanger ductwork would not have enough capacity to heat or cool.  Look into high velocity or ductless mini-splits.
