I am getting ready to order the rock to use as a sub-base underneath the garage and the driveway slabs. We plan on compacting the soil under the rock, and also compacting the rock after it is placed, and would like help as to what type and size to order.
Thanks.

The quarry here has a 3/4 minus crushed limestone, or an S-sand that is basically the powder from limestone crushing. I think that is what contractors use for residential slab. I'm leaning towards the 3/4 one since I have about 4" to fill. Thanks for the help.

I prefer 3/4 clean plus fabric for better drainage.

Drainage under the garage slab? Or are you talking on the parking area outside, or all?

Drainage under any concrete is a good thing. It relieves hydrostatic pressure that could cause cracking. This is true either inside the garage or outside in the parking area.
