Foam on Slab?

I am a construction new-be but could one consider the following with on-grade slab in the Pacific Northwest.

Construction #1 (will foam accommodate the weight of 2x6 wall loading?):

1.  Compact gravel, lay poly, pour slab with wall-plate anchor-bolts embedded.

2.  Completely cover all of slab to outer edge with 3” foam board and cover with poly.

3.  Bolt down outer walls set in 3” from edge of foam board and apply 3” foam board vertically to wall stud exterior ensuring contact/sealing with horizontal foam board.

Construction #2 (similar but different):

1.  Compact gravel, lay poly, pour 3.5” slab with wall-plate anchor-bolts embedded.

2.  Completely cover all of slab to outer edge with 3” foam board and cover with poly.

3.  Pour 3.5” slab over foam board with 3” set-back from outer edge of foam board.

4.  After bolting wall frame down and up to edge of top slab apply 3” foam board to stud exterior ensuring contact/sealing with horizontal foam board.

Reasoning:

Both methods shown above are to cause/create a thermal break.

What would be the advantage over frost protected foam under slab designs that have no thermal bridging?

A continuous foam-board envelope protecting floor and walls would minimize air and moisture flow and thermal bridging in the framing at the wall to floor juncture.

I opened the image you attached and it seems to answer what I was trying to get at.  Where can I access that info.

It's one of the standard FPSF designs. Some of the others work to prevent freezing but aren't as energy efficient.
