Wind energy investments have increased over the years, as people understand the great advantages offered by the wind.

Is there a question, or is this an advertisement? I've looked into wind, but since I don't know if I am going to build, much less where, it doesn't make sense to include it in the plan right now. And the cost is still pretty high. From what I've seen, to produce enough electricity to match the rated load of houses, it would cost about $30K for a 24kW system (rated load of a house with a 200Amp electrical panel) Or about $15K for a 12kWsystem (rated load of a house with a 100Amp electrical panel). Yes, normal load is far less, resulting in the ability to grid tie and sell back unused electricity to the electric company, but that is a long payback period. And if you don't intend on supplying the rated load to the house, why not use 60Amp panels? Of course my point of view is to be able to produce enough to pull off grid at any time, yet still be able to sell them electricity.
