For those that like clay tile roofs, this looks like an interesting PV product.

I've always thought that permanently coupling your roofing to your solar panels was a bad idea. If either function fails (waterproofing your house vs. supplying electrical energy), they both have to be removed/repaired since they are now one in the same. My favorite solution to roof mounted PV, is to clamp the panels to a standing seam roof. Even thought the commercially available clamps (S5! by unirac) are overpriced, they work well. That's what I used.

They are very nice looking but that is a good point on how would one deal with potential problems.  I looked at the website hoping to see what the cost per watt was as well as the size of the module (if it was per individual tile or a series of tiles tied together) but there was no information of that type.

In any case thanks for the post.  They do look nice in the photos and make for a lot cleaner installation appearance wise.
