A little nerdy stuff about generation: A neighbor has installed a fixed 5.9 kW array on his roof with exposure similar to our 5.5 kW single axis tracking array, so it's giving us an opportunity to compare. The neighbor's array is on a roof pitch that makes it perfect during mid-day hours during the equinoxes, and during those two seasons (Sep 20 and Mar 20) we get equivalent generation rates. This is our first winter season to compare, and yesterday, for example, our array generated 22 kWh while the fixed array generated only 9, so tracking during at least this approach to the solstice, is producing 2.25 times the generation of the fixed array. I'm looking forward a year's worth of comparisons. The neighbor's array has been in place exactly two months, and to date our array has produced 25% greater generation.
