I was wondering the same thing. Our basement was flooded a few months back and are our concrete walls are pealing as is our concrete floor. We would like to finish and fix our basement. So far so good as far as water in our basement. I installed a new sub pump and change to pvc piping. What would be the best way to repair our walls and floor. What products and steps do you recommended? Thanks

By the way of anyone is interested in getting there Green company or organization listed in a green directory check out http://www.globalgreenps.com

Take a look at www.StableCrete.com for the product you need. Topically applied to any concrete, this "Extremely Low 11.67g/L" product is a reactive penetrant that will waterproof any Portland Cement based material. Once you stop the moisture transfer in a concrete [ dry it out ] carbonation, lowered pH, and corrosion cell formation or ASR do not occur.
Spray, Brush or roller applied with minimal expertise required, a surface may be coated after 48 hours. Alkali within the concrete does not migrate out to "Burn" a coating off and better adhesion coverage rates are enjoyed. Http://www.StableCrete.com/applications.html demonstrates a number of uses, as does the Projects Page.
No film is formed on a surface once applied and waterproofed, which provides a superior patch bond as well. A concrete Stabilized with StableCrete, will promote a longer service life, less maintenance and comes with a 15 year Waterproof Warranty.
Contains no chemistry that will etch metals or glass and does not contain a "Re-Application" provision in the specification. Consult with your design team for possible LEED points under Innovation in Design or Material Resources categories. Clear product is allso available in a Red Tint version for Quality Control on larger projects where testing is not an option, due to size of a structure. Hope this helps !

psboyce, Use ICFs and above grade you need no moisture barrier.

Global, Fix your grade outside, make sure gutters and downspouts drain way away from the house. If your draintile is working and your grade is good, exterior waterproofing is a sure fix.
