OK so there seems to be little information out there on energy efficient Garage doors. The reported R values for most doors are a joke. There is a good read I found on another green web site I found which was the best info to be had and it pretty much verifies the wild inaccuracies of the many companies.
I have been checking the doors at customers houses for details which may make a door better air sealed. Most were not good. What I was looking for was Thermal break in panels, weather stripping between panels and the weather strip which goes on the door jamb.
The best door I could find is Garaga. It has all of the above. I just ordered one so if you can "one up me" I really dont want to hear it

I just hope this helps someone else out there trying to build a air tight garage as the info is hard to find
Dont run thru the forest with your face on fire<br>

The problem with garage car entry doors is that they are garage car entry doors. Just by their shear size they are difficult to seal and keep a decent thermal value.
