I've been looking for a front-loader washer that has both cold/hot water inlets so it can use hot water from a solar water heated system.

Most new ones have only cold inlet but I found a couple with both. Speaking to a knowledgable sales person, he says they only use hot water on the hottest settings else use cold water and heats it.
I did find one online but it's only sold in Italy (look up Electrolux Sunny)

Has anyone had practical experience choosing a front-loader to use with a solar setup?
(we would run a cycle in the afternoon, so it would need a timer)

We have a Miele.
Available just about every where.
Has hot and cold supply and internal heater.
If needed it will heat the water to a higher temp than comes out of the tap.

I have a Frigidaire that has both connections. But would not recommend the brand at all. PM me if you want to know why.

My understanding is that Frigidaire, Kenmore, Whirlpool, and Maytag are all the same manufacturer now.
