Has anyone with an air-source heat pump (or GSHP for that matter) had an
EnerGuide rating
done on their home? (EnerGuide is a Canadian thing).
I downloaded the technical procedures and studied the equations. The heating equation seems to only mention electric (@ 100%) and/or fossil fuel (@ 80% AFUE). I may be mistaken but I don't see how a heating appliance with a seasonal average COP of 2.7 (or 9.2 HSPF) is properly accounted for in the equation.
I am really curious how the Energy Advisor would apparently need to use their judgement and estimate the "energy consumed".
Thanks
John
