Came across this in walls & ceilings magazine.  Seems to be a good furring system alternative to wood or steel with less conductivity.

Chris,
Could these not be used to replace the metal hat channels you use on your SIPS?
Assuming, of course, that the pricing was competitive.

was my thinking too, I am always open to new products, but their cost analysis shown is higher material cost and a lower labor cost, I am trying to figure out why they would be faster than steel hi-hat or Z furring?
I think the comparison is biased

You could probably find a generic fiberglass product that might work for furring as well.  It seems when someone markets a product for a specific application the price may go up ;)
