Been in construction 40 plus years. Trying to market them on shoestring budget but having difficulty. Learned a lot from the National storm shelter association out of Lubbock. Built my own concrete house outside of Rhome Tx. Would like to market in Florida as hurrucane house. I can beat most prices.

I also build and sell storm shelters. Do a type of tilt wall structure. Efficient and cheap to build. Can build quick as needed. What is a good way to market. Not a lot of funds.

I also build concrete homes which need to be burmed. They are very efficient and tornado proof. Can be solar powered and off the grid with no electric bill. You do not need AC or much heating. Think it wouls be ideal for Florida hurricanes.

North Texas. DFW area. Just bought equipment in Albany area. Might be feasible to ship if you could buy or sell multiple units. each shelter weighs approximately 6000 to 8000 lbs. My fork lift was quoted at $3500 to Albany, 12000 lbs. I could ship for probably $2500. Total for one shelter $5000. Two would be $7500

Looking for a company to build my units. Though I believe you have a good product my units have been found to be more useful for more uses and when sitting in a storm shelter for as much as 36 hours you want to have space and convenience. I have a order for 4 units in NY

Post Storm can be the most trying of times. Here in Florida a Hurricane can last as long as 36 hrs plus once gone if your house is unliveable You need a place to sleep, I am sure that this is the case no matter what storm location you live in. My units serve multiple uses and with the economics of today having a storm shelter that can serve as an extra room, shed, etc plus a sleeping area for the wks you cannot live in your house makes more sense in my mind.

My sister lives if Tampa Bay area. We've talked about my house plan that is totally used during a storm and no damage after the storm. Not just a room. I can build an earth shelter, front to look like anything, brick, stone, etc. $45 sq. ft. shell and $95 ft. finished. In Texas, we are maybe in a shelter for 30 minutes. I want to become a general contractor in Florida and maybe build storm shelters also in Tamps at my nephews place.

Probably should refrase that. The coastal regions would have 36 hrs of wait but tornado ally has about 30 minutes. With today's warnings, people can get out of the way in a shelter or go to sleep in my house and not worry.

The way I build the house it is best and strongest out of concrete. It is most efficient and tornado proofn when burmed. Storm shelters do not need to but can be burmed

With regards to steel being stronger than concrete for shelters.  First the shape and design is what gives a structure its strength, a round dome shape being the strongest NO Wind Resistance!

The SafeDome gives the buyer not only a shelter when needed but also a shed for storage and an extra sleeping room when strorms are not a concern.  Several people had to stay in a safedome for over 18 hrs has 130 mph winds of Wilma battered West Palm Beach, a SafeDome is large enough that you do not feel you are in a coffin for that many hours.
