W have only stayed in the home a month but it seems to be OK. The air seems to literally blow through there very well. I don't know how it could with no soffit vents but it does. What is happening that I don't understand?

Update. We have completely gutted the inside. Worthy of note is an area 1" or so completely around the wall where the particle board has swelled and deteriorated. Even the nails have rusted to the extent one can almost pull them out by hand. My supposition is that condensation has occurred on the foil and dripped down on to the particle board. Would that be a correct assumption? Just for clarity sake, I do not want an interior vapor retarder?
