This month's most recent Journal of Light Construction had an article on a builder who used Superior Walls precast concrete walls to build a house in coastal NC. I was wondering what the general consensus is on this product. Seems quick and easy, better than traditional building methods but not as energy efficient as a SIP or ICF. Thoughts? Here's the web site for those not familiar with it. http://www.superiorwalls.com/

I have used it for one basement. Worked out very well. No complaints. Dry basement when other basements built with a different technology in the same subdivision flooded.

Even I was quite sceptical about this topic. But, I read somewhere that superior walls are highly energy efficient. They are helpful in reducing energy. The built-in insulation system lowers the cost of energy.

Our home in south carolina had a 12" thick core icf blocks. Had no complaints. I thought the superior walls were more costly personally. It really makes no difference imo. As long as the details are right on, no water and no issue. I chose icf cause there would be no seams in the wall. That might be something to think about. There are earthquakes in the carolinas, so if the 2 panels get separated you'll have problems.
