I'm going to build an ICF home this season. Where I live (Southern New Brunswick, Canada) the two ICF manufacturers that appear most serious about selling in this region is Nudura and Logix.

I'm interested in opinions of builders who have had a chance to build with both blocks to compare the relative strengths/weaknesses of the two systems. They seem quite similar though I have an impression that Nudura has a little bit more holistic approach (ie the floor and ceiling system) while Logix is basically an ICF block and your bracing needs have to be fulfilled by someone else. Logix on the other hand has a tad more insulation value due to slightly thicker foam.

Any other opinions on the two companies?

Well I believe there is a "no point of return" from insulation that only makes sense. I believe that 2.5" is plenty so I don't believe that Logixs has an advantage there. Nudura has a repeat pattern of 2" while Logixs has 1"! Nudura is reversible while Logixs is not. Logixs is more residential applicable while Nudura is more commercial! Logix has no steel in there tie to rip at a window opening, Nudura is 8' long and will require allot more cut 8' panels which will require thinking to understand where to put the lesser pieces? There both 8" o.c. ties so there equal there. An opinion from a distributor" I'm not an installer, and I don't sell either"as far as the alignment/ bracing goes your local distributor should be supplying it anyways so I didn't quite follow that one?
