Does anyone know of any ICF Barn houses? I have a customer interested in the open floor plan and simple design.

Why not consider Mark Fleming's house? From the photos he posted today it sure looks like it could be easily adapted to an iopen look. Use the ridge beam as Mark has and have some vaulted ceilings or get some trusses built with the gambrel/barn profile. And it looks proportionally similar to some barns I've seen here in Kansas. Dave

I have a customer putting up a slab on grade home with a loft that resembles a barn. He wanted a steel gambrel type roof system and contacted a local steel building contractor to get what he wanted. this is a 28' x 40' house being built in rural Iowa.

We have designed several 'barn' style homes. Most could easily be converted to ICF construction, if desired.
The combination of ICF and SIP construction along with the ag type structural elements produces a very desirable, and economical, home.
Contact me if you want more specific info.

Luckily, the flexibility of ICF makes it a perfect base for a gambrel (barn) roof system. My personal favorite has been an ICF house that had heavy-timber structure set on top of it with SIP panels for the roof decking. I have been designing ICF homes for several years. I think it is the ideal material and I enjoy designing with it. Kudos on your selection! Let me know how I can help.
