Quite a range of unique, nice looking homes. Some interesting roof lines! Any more neat looking homes out there? Dave

Here's mine. 35x68 with full basement and a 12' wide attic and three car garage. A pretty traditoinal style with an open floorplan. We moved in in June an couldn't be happier with it.

Icfwizard,

That is a beautiful home. If you don't mind me asking, which forms did you use for the curves? Do you have any suggestions for building curved walls?

Thanks,
Guy

Is that a concrete roof? The green one with the low pitch above. - Tom

Here is shot of the "shop with attached house" that I am currently building. You can also follow my blog at http://shopwithattachedhouse.blogspot.com/ Sorry, the blog isn't quite up to date, but I'm working on it. The roof is a room-in-attic truss and the underside of the steel roof will be sprayed with closed cell foam. The entire building is 40x100 and the house is 40x40 with a 17x40 room upstairs. The shop is 40x60 with an upstairs room of 17x60. Those are outside measurements. Kevin

Here's my house, that my boyfriend and I are building in Ontario, Canada.   We're trying to make it look like a 100 year old Ontario farmhouse.  We constructed the ICF walls ourselves and did our own concrete pours.  It's 1400 sq. ft. (700 per floor) with a calculated heat loss of 21,000 BTUs.  We have radiant infloor heating (heated with an electric boiler) but it rarely comes on -- we heat with our woodstove and burn less than 2 bush cords per year.  Love the ICF.

IcfWizard is my father......That house we (I) built was all built with the infamous Phoenix block. You can build curves with just about any ICF forms, its just super time consuming. We use 8" lap siding to form the curve of the wall inside and out and place it between each row of block. We then screw ever tie to the lap siding and check for level on the inside of the forms. The trick to cutting the block is a trade secret. :)

Here's mine.  I'm getting my second bid for Icynene next week.  Then, I can finally get some heat in it and get back to work.
