Good Morning,
I am a home owner looking to build a home - I like ICF and think it is a great product, makes sense for sure!!!
I have been reading a lot of different posts and haven't been able to find a lot about nudura? I am just curious if anyone could offer some insight, I spoke to one of their distirbutors and was impressed but haven't read to much on here.
I am going to have the home built, I am in no way a builder so any insights would be helpful.
Thanks, icfrook |

icfrock,
Its usually a slippery slope when trying to compare blocks, especially since such questions seem to allow people to promote the block that they distribute. Nudura is fine, as are many of those advertised here.
I believe that you will be best served by identifying the best ICF installer in your area and ask which form he likes best (then buy that one). If you don't have an installer in your area, talk to some of the better known ICF manufactures (Nudura is very well known) and see what they will bring to the table. Do they have bracing, will they provide technical assistance, can they refer you to someone to do the engineering, etc.
Best of luck.

One thing that might help is if you let us know where you are located. That way we might could direct you to someone in your area. I am a distributor of Nudura, so I am kinda partial to Nudura. Like Ren said, you will be best off finding a quality ICF installer in your area and see what their thought is. |

Nudura is a good block. I install it along with a few others. The 8 ft block is very nice and it being reversable helps out alot also. Where are you located if you dont mind me asking? |

You might want to look at the features and benefits of TF (The "Vertical" ICF System) www.tfsystem.com.
Good look with your reasearch, as well as with your project! |

I tell customers not to get hung up on brands. Make sure you are getting at least 2.5" EPS each side of the correct core thickness. We do the vast majority of houses footing to roof with 6" ICFs. Beyond that pick an experienced ICF contractor and let them use the ICF they believe is the best value. That said we have put up tens of thousands of sf of NUDURA and they are a very good ICF. |
