We will be closing on some property very soon and are interested in building using ICF's. I know of a few ICF contractors in the Richmond, VA area, but was wondering if anyone could recommend one they may have used?

We have been building ICF homes in the Richmond area since 2004 and have been in business since 1994. Please check us out at www.DebsConstruction.com Our offices are in Oilville. We build with the TF System-Vertical ICF.

Please let me know if we can help in any way. We have always been very flexible: If you have a builder in mind that has not done an ICF, we put walls up for builders; we also assist/train builders AND DIY'ers in putting up their own projects, besides doing turn-key projects.

Thank you.

Hi bebe72,
My husband and I moved into a new ICF home in December 2008.  It was built by Deb's Construction, Inc out of Oilville, VA.  They were wonderful to work with.  They literally took a drawing on a napkin and turned it into the beautiful home (i call it the "castle") in which i now live.  Call my cell if you have any questions 804-467-6833.  I attached a few pictures from the construction--we took hundreds.  I'd be willing to share more if you like, I think my husband has them on the internet on a Flickr photo album.  I'll ask him how to get to that.

Hi,

I am a DIY homeowner that was in your shoes just about a year ago.  We wanted to add to our existing home using an ICF system and found out like you probabaly are that there are many systems to choose from.  After alot of agonizing we chose Debs construction and I can honestly say we have been COMPLETELY satisfied!

With the help of Deb and Dale we were able to assemble and pour the walls ourselves!  I think a real testament to their vertical ICF product came just after the pour and when I was talking to the pump truck operator.  He said this was the first time he had poured an ICF wall and NOT had a blow out(break in the stryofoam wall).

Please feel free to call me if you would like to discuss further...804-397-5242.

Matt

I HAVE LIVED IN MY ICF HOME FOR 2 YEARS NOW, AND I WOULD NEVER BUILD ANOTHER WAY. EVERYONE SAID BUILDING WAS GOING TO BE STRESSFUL. DEB'S CONSTRUCTION WAS WONDERFUL. THEY ARE PROFESSIONAL, PATIENT, AND THOROUGH. THEY MADE THE WHOLE PROCESS AN ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE.

Bebe72,

I also second Deb in Richmond. We were in the process of bidding an ICF home in Frederick, MD. The real estate market collapsed and we could not appraise the project needed for the loan. Unfortunately the appraisers only use what has been sold. Deb and Dale were always professional, excellent communications and were quick to reply to questions. If you are interested in TF system (which I recommend - it is what we almost settled on, another choice was Quadlock), I also recommend you look up Mark Quinn at Quinn Construction. He is out of Maryland.

Best of luck to you....

Leonard

I used Deb's Construction for my TF 7000+ sq. ft. home. They were wonderful to work with. The home is cozy and comfortable. I would highly recommend them. Contact Deb's Construction and tell them you would like to see the home. I would be happy to give you a tour.
