Around here in Des Moines, IA, most foundation contractors work with CMU or poured concrete. I wonder how well it work to replace a foundation with ICF instead? Anyone ever had this done or know about it being done? How well did it work?

Are you referring to raising the house and replacing the foundation below? because of non repairable damage or something along those lines?

ICF is poured concrete, the form/foam just stays in place. So I would expect little difference in the end result.

Here is a video overview of what we do in Vancouver for the exact same application.

We have used icf on a foundation rebuild here in Wisconsin.
It worked vary well , the house was jacked up and shored , we came in and built 16" from under the house.
The build plan was above you and lay out was so easy. We set the house on the new foundation and filled the last shoring and beams with icf and windows.

Awesome pics. How long did that take to complete? How much ball park did that job run? Is that icf basement an 8 ft finished space with a bathroom?

If those questions are directed to me, that photo link is just something I grabbed off the LiteForm website. I remembered seeing it there in the past. I don't know any details regarding the project.
