Two of my sisters just got illustrations of why this thread makes sense. Hail (with wind, but this one was not cyclonic, no tornado). Location is eastern Nebraska.
A couple quotes from e-mail:
"We were among the few fortunate ones that didn't lose any windows in our house. Many lost everything on the north and west. One friend of ours lost all but one window in the whole house."
and
"Lots of chewed up siding. They always try to sell us vinyl. It's toast all over town. "
But the germane line is:
"Yes we will be getting a new roof as is the rest of town. "
Of course, if you don't have concrete walls, it's kinda hard to do a concrete roof. |
