Hi, Are there any upcoming DIY ICF builders in northeast? I'm planing my own build next year. Will love to help or at least visit your site, no cost to you. I'm in CT but will travel to nearby states.

I'm in south central PA, maybe a little past what your looking for, just about done with the shell. We poured walls and roof earlier this year, just about finished putting Senergy stucco on. 100% DIY. Used quadlock plus forms, Quad deck (Insuldeck)floor and roof.

Ksandjs, thank you for replying.
If you were in build stage I would consider traveling there but since you are done with ICF stage I think this is bit far just to visit your site. However if you dont mind I would like to sometimes PM you.

Also I looked at quad-lock product and looks very intresting, I will be looking into it more.
Was there any specific reson why you selected quad-lock? Do you think it provided any additional benefits compared to typical ICF form?

Jerry

thats fine. As far a blocks-- I wanted something thicker than the standard 2", I liked the fact that you only order one block for everything- very little waste, had decking, and various other things. However it mostly came down to the local sales rep and his willingness to provide support. Also he had wall bracing that he delivered and we used for the basement and also for the 1st floor walls.

Jerry: I'm planning on an ICF basement build with a frame single story this spring near the NY, MA and CT boarder. I'm all for both of us novices standing around with question marks over our heads.
I'm in planning stage at the moment but should be on schedule for late April '15.
