I want to build a small structure with a shed roof (15’ W x 40’ L x 8’-11’ tall) using ICF in Saint Augustine (zip 32084) Florida, 30 minutes South of Jacksonville. It seems, BuildBlock has a manufacturing location in Orlando (two hours away). Questions: 1) Who else has a manufacturing location close to Northeastern part of Florida? I was told, I need to find someone local due to shipping cost. 2) I have experience in building regular homes and zero experience in using ICFs. Are there any ICF contractors willing to give me a hand (instead of contracting for the entire job) in Northeastern part of Florida? 3) I also want to build the roof using ICF (for safety reasons, due to possible high hurricane winds). Is it possible to build a shed roof (extended beyond the ICF walls) using ICF roofing blocks (similar to the attached picture)? I like to extend the roof at least a foot outside the ICF walls (or much more over the balcony, if possible). I greatly appreciate for any roofing recommendation. Thanks, James

Talk to the various ICF companies about the roof. If that does not work out, then consider pre-stress hollow-core panels with an added thin topping slab. Also consider Gulf Concrete Technology PSM or PSG roof panels. GCT panels can easily be used to include roof overhangs. Contact me if you want to discuss options. P.S. I don't sell anything. No charge for my time.

Thanks Pete. I have been researching ICfs for roof application. Is Insul_deck same as Quad-Lock? I like your roof blocks. I guess, I can get 17’ long pieces for my application (vs. Amvic Amdeck or Buildblock BuildDeck which are 2’x2’). Are your roof ICFs manufactured in GA? I will contact you as soon as I finalize my requirements.

LiteForm LiteDeck is another ICF roof option. Google for more info.
This link from ICF Builder Magazine indicates they have LiteDeck manufacturing in Florida:
