BUYER BEWARE

I was reccommended a builder from a distributor of SIPS system homes.  The contractor took my money and did not show up to do the job.  Now the company who reccommended one of their builders says they are not responsible.  I paid them for the components to build the home & had to scramble to find someone to perform the job.

I believe that the distributor is still doing work with the contractor who took my money.  I want to make the distributor equally liable but since they are technically located in canada filing suit with them is difficult.

I hope that someone from this site can help me locate the contractor.

Last business he was going under was Camco Industries in Pennsylvania.  I found this on the internet he is trying to run a different company  under CHC which I thinks stands for Cleary Hudson construction.

Here is the link I found:  http://pages.cashflowpro.com/successbydesigncapital/ez-buildsippanels.html

I have been hoodwinked out of a serious amount of money and now everyone involved has either disappeared or says they are not responsible.

I hope someone can help me, I have has to cash in my retirement to come up with the money to complete my house, this guy is walking around scott free.

Get yourself a lawyer and/or call the police and file a fraud report.  If this was a cross-state transaction, call the FBI and/or FTC.  Call your state licensing board, if in fact this person was a licensed contractor.

Why did you NOT ask for a bond and to see his Lic. In most states contractors have to be bonded and insured to work. Cheeeeeep pricing is a good indacation that you are about to be HAD.

PH Moore;

not true , I am licensed in 3 states none of which requires a bond.

He didn't say he was the cheapest, he was recommended. But if all he was supplying was labor there is no reason to give a downpayment.

hind sight is 20-20
