i just spent 3 months in china getting  local goverment permission to build sip homes for earth quake victims ,and got it! my foundation plan is to build 16x28 unit and join them together in an H pattern   with group bath rooms joining the two units.

my question is; can i substitute
magnesium oxide board  for  make sip rather than use osb board for two reasons  the villagers in rural china use fires to heat here home and cook , and  they dump pails of water on floors for cleaning and osb loves to absorb water and expand then fall apart. Is magnesium oxide board as structually sound as osb  board? Is there a specification of magnesium oxide board that is as strong as osb board?

to learn more about the foundation and see plans  for 16' x28' unit vist;

The answer is yes, you can substitute OSB for many other skin surfaces.

Cement Board is also more fire resistant, see how the industry is using many
other EPS Structural Panels in their Systems.
