I am looking at 620 Sq. feet of Home room addition. The concrete slab has been poured and is ready. I have some quotes for traditional stick framing/ Trusses. I also have quote from a SIP Manufacturer for 8 1/4" roof panels and 6 1/2" wall panels as well as labor charges for installing SIPs

I am new to SIPs. I would like to know what are the pros and cons of using SIPS. Also are there any thing else I should consider while ordering/Installing SIPs.?

Thanks for your help

Your questions are so broad, I don't think anyone can answer them. Be more specific.

Seth,

Some of the basic pros for building with panels for an addition are 1) speed/efficiency of the build, and 2) energy efficiency of the addition. In the speed of the build, your house (that you're probably already living in) is disturbed for only a few days of hammering and pounding. That gets old at 7am after a few weeks. Secondly, you'll need to confirm with a HVAC contractor, or better yet, a mechanical engineer, to calculate the additional load requirements on your existing HVAC system. Often times mechanical units are already oversized. If this is the case, you may not need to increase capacity of existing equipment, due to the limited infiltration and energy efficiency of the SIPs.
