I recently began working with SIPs panels, primarily OSB clad. We have used the fiber cement panels for at least one project in the past and may use them again in future projects. I was curious to know if it is possible to forego drywall on the interior side of the fiber cement panels and simply finish the panel itself. It seems like it could be done but I would be worried about what would happen when the panels shift/settle. I haven't been able to find much on the topic and was wonder if anyone had experience with or opinions on the possibilities.
mpedersen,
I think the answer is in your question,
if something shifts or settles - expect cracking
