Jamie, I posted the following information last week just to let people know that ICF may finally get some recognition some place other than green building forums: Just wanted to let everone who is involved in the ICF business, either as a builder/installer or DIYer, our small company in Nashville, Tenn has been selected by Forbes as one of 20 semi-finalists in their "Build Your Business" contest for 2009. We need your help to become one of the five (5) finalists. In a nutshell what we do is help consumers and contractors build better houses by integrating the most current green and energy efficient building technology. Our products include Insulated Concrete Forms (ICFs), Geo-Thermal, Solar Panels, Energy Efficient Windows, LED Lighting among others. If we make it to the top five we have a chance to win a significant prize that includes cash to help us grow the business and an advertising budget to help us gain market share. You can help us by going to Forbes.com/byb. Our company is called I Want A Better House and we appreciate your help and support. If you consider this advertising then I apologize. It was in no way intended to be advertising nor was I attempting to solicit business. I was simply tying to let people know that there is an opportunity to gain more recgnition for the ICF industry if we win this contest. I can reword the thread and remove any reference to what we do if that would make a difference. I have to include the name so tat people know who to vote for. I hope you will reconsider removing the thread and will allow us to repost. I enjoying your site and find it informative and a great place to discuss the pros and cons of numerous things. Thanks, Jeff

Jamie, I read "I want a better house" entry on the Forbes site. Although it is admirable for this young man to push his agenda, I believe it should not be posted on this forum. It is really an advertisement. Again, although the content and ideas fit right in, it sure looks like an ad!
Thanks.
