I recieved a "Spanish Prisoner" spam in my private mailbox today.  Frankly I'm suprised this still works. While it's true the scam has originated in the Early 1900's and have been ongoing pretty much since then, I thought with all the Website warnings and Media Publicity this scam has recieved the last few years, that everyone would know about it and not get scammed. I guess as the old saying goes, there's a sucker born every minute, for all the computer scavy users out there, there's always some smuck that just got his first computer yesterday and just logged onto the Internet today. New Victims to keep the Nigerian ecomony pumping along.

That's what I got, it's commonly known as the "Spanish Prisoner" scam, there are variations of it, but they all have one thing in common, front some cash to get a large reward later. Google it for compete details on the scam.

Don't care the scam... how they got on this forum and able to send private messages...

I got it too.

The spammer sent individual messages through the private messaging system. We have unauthorized this person. Please note that your actual email addresses nor any other info you provided to GBT was compromised.
