Curiously besides the 1 other section on duct size, that is the extent of geothermal code. All else is Manufacturers' installation instructions.
Around here as i mentioned those inspectors that ask for tests permit air, but as big as a pain as it can be, I'll reiterate that we would be better served by more stringent inspections....train your inspections.

Clark,

If you spend the time to look at psychometrics charts you would find out that where you live an ERV will pay for itself in about 2 years.  I know this because I have designed and sold many of them out there.  I have also lived in multiple houses that I added them to and they always make the air quality inside the house better.

Hope you spend the time doing the research.

GeoMark

GM,
Can you help us with this research, we recently had contributers do some testing to demonstrate savings from thermostat set-back. They convinced me that savings is not necessarily wives tales.
Why not see if you can provide us with similar useful data.
A Psy chart certainly can support a posisition, but we dwell a lot on actual kw used, before we get excited about someone's assertions.
Not afraid to change my mind, I'm just way more interested in ERV's or HRV's for buildings with higher ventilation requirements than a single family home.
I'll look forward to that thread.
