im certainly glad you have done that but i have good information from a man that has installed his this way and it works and i trust him.  if it doesnt work ill dig it up and do it over again at very little cost to me.

there are different ways to do things and ill keep you posted as i get my system installed and if it doesnt work you will be the first to know

thanks

By all means, let us know how well it works.

let me explain my theory of things. if i am going on a long trip in my bus rv with a 150 gal fuel capacity do i 1/2 fill it or do i fill it full for safety and comfort s sake. i may be dead wrong but i want capacity so that is what i am going to do. if you are drilling a well do you drill it deep enough to furnish just 1/2 of what you need no you drill it deep enough for extra use. my way will take less pump because there will be less resistance based on 5 to 6 1in lines adn i will eliminate the manifold to present leaks. so i will have more capacity to draw on plus less resistance to the pump. i am now thinking 1200ft of line out there! this will cost me an extra 48.00 morre is better.

there are more ways than one to skin a cat and i have been given another way. a good friend of mine was an electician he would look at drawings some engineer had drawn up and totatly change them saving the customer money. his ides s always worked and the engineers got to asking him for his ideas. this man only had a 3rd grade education but he had a brilliant mind. my kind of guy. when he died he was loaded but his kids took care of it.

As far as I understand, you need a certain flow rate to ensure that you have turbulent flow. To get turbulent flow in a 2" pipe seems like you'd need a whale of a pump. Let us know how it works, though.
