Geo Fan I hope your utility company is only employing the best available and most qualified people, that has not necessarily been the case here. In fact I didn't note it earlier, but our utilities sell both gas and electricity, so they are indifferent about what or how much you use (one even discontinued the electric heating discount). As an added bonus, they are guaranteed a profit by law, routinely don't return phone calls for days or weeks and arbitrarily change their requirements after the ink is dry on our contracts. So in our area......(oops sorry, don't get me started on our utility companies). If we're talking about contractors, our experience in MI is similar. After the early '80's was when we started having to actually test for our licenses and lower levels of education are not uncommon on some of the grandfathered license holders. Most of these had very little experience and took advantage of the loose requirements. It was however "oldtimers" who literally wrote the manual on "J" before we were born. No shortage of hacks at every level of education. J |
