So, for newcomers to this forum, who are interested in the issue that is is the subject of this thread "Settling", I'd like to reinforce tdbuilders comment "this is one reason I'm hooked on the vertical system because settling is elimminated". He would also probably agree that there is also no opportunity for "floating" to occur with this system since the continuous "ties" (referred to as "studs" in the TF installation manual) are not connected to the EPS panels. Another feature of TF, that's somewhat pertinent to this discussion, is that the EPS panels can be ordered to exact plate heights, the benefit of this feature is that you don't have to shave down the top side of the forms to get to the exact plate height.

dwangle,
No lifting on integraspec's part either, without any adhesif between blocks, and pouring is done in one continius pass up to 14' (personal experience) to eliminate any cold joints possible.
