Chris,
The 8" steel panel you quoted. For a 25' simple span gable roof, 29' overall:
The panel can span wall to ridge without intermediates (40/15/L-360)?
Can be lifted by 4 men with basic jobsite equipment (no crane or telescopic fork truck)?
Is a weather tight roof for at least 6 months before roofing is applied?
Requires no interior fire barrier?
FOB at $4.20?
GuyB;
not @ L/360, you would need to go to a 12" and could accomplish L/240 with 55# total load, which is adequate for a roof.
4 men could handle, I am currently setting 21'-3" x 6" thick with 2 men, roof would be weather tight for 10 years with 2" eternabond roof tape at joints, then re-tape could be necessary.
If used for living area you would need 15 min. thermal barrier (not fire barrier)
