The sheetrock crew will be finished in a week or so and I'd like to get my thermostats installed. Somewhere I think I read constant temp settings are betting than programable setbacks (especially with an electric boiler like mine that seems to take some time to come up to temp). I was thinking of using the Wirsbo A3030102 (Heat and Cool thermostat) for my two staple up zones, and the Wirsbo 501S (with floor sensor for my basement slab). Any thoughts? Thanks, Ben

I like floor sensors everywhere. properly insulated and mounted against the subfloor, being able to maintain a minimum floor temp can be a nice element of comfort control. the only thing I like setback for with radiant is a couple of degree shift, timed to come on when you wake up in the morning, so the floor is actively heating at that time. that's a nice touch but not a requirement of course.
